Ok..........time for an update!!!!!
So far things have been going smoothly. I had to have Walter modify my motor mounts, they where too long. The cowl is pre drilled for the mounting screws, I don't like this because they are not very accurate.
The firewall has right thrust in it, so the engine is off center of the cowl. since the motor is square with the firewall, you have to fix the cowl mounts. If they had just let me drill the holes after the engine was mounted, this wouldn't have been a problem. I'll fix the cowl mounts later.

Next I moved on to the stab. This was pretty simple, but usually I like to have the wing mounted before I put the stab on. I like to make sure the stab is parallel to the wing., but the instructions have you put the stab on first. So I test fit, cut away the Monokote, and 30 minute epoxied it in. Then I epoxied the vertical stab in. So far So good.

The wings are next. I joined the wings with Polyurethane glue, the instructions suggested it, this glue expands as it dries, so it fills in all the holes and cracks. Just make sure you don't use too much. I glued it and left it, so a little expanded out and I didn't wipe it off. Just a little. I also glued in the tabs for the out board struts. The next day I hinged the ailerons, I also used the polyurethane glue to do this. Again be very careful how much you use, it expands quite a bit.

Next I started to mount the wings. They pre drilled the holes for the wing bolts and they where both off by a little. I elongated the holes so they would line up. I put the landing gear on. Its easier to line up the top wing this way. After the gear is on, you put some thing under the tail until the horizontal stab is level. Make sure the bottom wing incidence in the same as the stab. Fit the out board struts and then test fit the top wing..

The center strut is next, but I will have to get to that tomorrow.
